MedSirat Academy
Individual coaching
Own your study direction. Build a realistic way forward.
For adults in higher education and other adult learning contexts who want to clarify their goals, organise their study commitments and take their own next steps.
For adult learners entering or returning to higher education, navigating an academic transition or looking for a more deliberate approach to independent study.
Choose the priorities that fit your situation. These are possible areas of work, not a fixed programme.
Explore why a study path matters to you and what you need to understand before deciding whether to continue or change direction.
Separate your own intentions from external expectations and define a meaningful goal you can take responsibility for.
Map commitments, deadlines and constraints; choose manageable next actions and revise estimates after experience.
Reflect on the expectations and routines involved in entering, returning to or moving within higher education.
Prepare the structure of a presentation, rehearse how to explain your thinking and choose how you want to participate.
Identify the question you need answered, the appropriate academic support contact and a way to review your next step.
Examples of goals and working documents you might develop together. They are starting points, not promised deliverables or guaranteed outcomes.
Record your reasons for a study choice, unanswered questions and a next conversation with the appropriate academic contact.
Bring deadlines and other commitments together, identify a conflict and propose an adjustment within your control.
Outline your own message, rehearse an opening and prepare a question to ask a tutor or academic support service.
Revisit these stages as your situation changes; they are not a fixed sequence of sessions.
Name the decision or challenge, what matters to you, and the constraints you need to respect.
Choose a client-owned goal, useful signs of progress and the engagement boundaries.
Question assumptions, rehearse a conversation or choose a practical action to try in your context.
Discuss what happened, revise the working approach, and decide whether to continue, refocus or close.
Before starting, agree the delivery format, session frequency, session duration and overall engagement length. Discuss whether online or in-person meetings fit the context, how to prepare, and how changes or a pause will be handled. No particular format or schedule is assumed.
Before starting, agree confidentiality boundaries, what information may be shared and with whom, and any sponsor reporting. If an organisation funds the engagement, clarify its expectations alongside your goals and agree the scope of any progress updates. Do not bring information you are not authorised to share.
Coaching uses questions, reflection, rehearsal and review to support your own choices. You retain responsibility for decisions and actions. Goals and useful signs of progress are agreed together; outcomes are never guaranteed.
This is coaching for adult learners’ choices and study practices, not subject tutoring, assignment writing, assessment marking or admissions advice that promises acceptance. You produce and own your academic work and follow your institution’s requirements. The service is not clinical support and does not promise grades, admission or academic success.
No. You remain the author of your work. Subject explanations, assignment requirements and academic feedback belong with the appropriate teaching or academic support service.
Yes. You can explore your reasons for returning, realistic commitments, changed expectations and the support questions you want to raise.
Yes. Coaching can support structure, rehearsal and how you want to communicate. You remain responsible for subject accuracy and your institution’s assessment requirements.
Clarify the scope before starting and revisit it if needed. Subject, admissions, accessibility or clinical questions should be directed to an appropriate service; coaching does not replace that support.

One pathway, three practices, one credential. For the senior practitioner who is done choosing between advising an organisation, coaching its leaders and building its capability — and wants to be paid for all three.
Leads to the MedSirat Global Master Practitioner credential — MGMP. Nine months, hybrid: recorded modules, twelve live sessions, six live clinics, one-to-one supervision.
The market sells consulting, coaching and training as separate trades, each with its own certificate, its own day rate and its own language. The work does not arrive that way. A client asks you to diagnose an organisation, and the diagnosis turns into a coaching engagement with its director, which turns into a capability programme for forty managers. The practitioner who can only do one of those three either subcontracts the rest or walks away from the fee.
The report is delivered, the client agrees with it, and nothing changes — because nobody built the skill inside the organisation to execute it.
An executive is coached in isolation from the system that rewards the behaviour he is trying to change. The coaching holds for a quarter and then dissolves.
A programme is designed for a need that was assumed rather than established. Attendance is good, transfer is nil, and the next budget is harder to win.
This is not an entry-level pathway, and it is not a collection of three certificates. It is for people already paid for their judgement, who want to sell a wider engagement without losing the depth that got them there.
You diagnose and advise, and you keep watching your recommendations stall for want of capability. You leave able to build the capability as part of the same engagement — and to price it.
You run programmes that are commissioned, delivered and then audited on attendance. You leave able to diagnose the performance problem first, coach the sponsor, and defend the investment in business terms.
You coach well and are paid for sessions. You leave able to read the organisation around the coachee, contract at the level of the system, and combine coaching with advisory and learning work in one mandate.
Not for you if: you want the credential as a badge without changing how you sell. The capstone is a live client mission defended before a committee, and a badge does not survive it.
Read an organisation, a team and an individual in the same engagement, and produce one diagnosis that serves all three rather than three disconnected reports.
Scope, price and govern an engagement that combines advisory, coaching and capability building — with boundaries that protect you when the client asks for all three at once.
Design and deliver capability programmes that are assessed on behaviour change, not on satisfaction scores, and that survive the return to the desk.
Position an offer, set fees by value rather than by day, manage a pipeline, and hold the price when procurement pushes back.
The three practice domains are taught side by side, not in sequence, because that is how the work arrives. Each stage mixes recorded content with live days and an assessed deliverable.
| Stage | Delivery | Assessed | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | FoundationsCommunication, leadership styles, public speaking, innovation — the vocabulary the other four stages assume. | Recorded module + 2 live clinics | Portfolio |
| 02 | Management coreStrategy, operational management and project delivery: enough to hold a conversation with a board and to run a mandate without losing it. | Recorded module + 1 live clinic | Written exam |
| 03 | Practice domainsConsulting, coaching and learning & development, taught in parallel. Three practicums, three assessed pieces of real work. | Recorded modules + 2 live clinics | Three assessed practicums |
| 04 | Business & legalPositioning, pricing, contracts, ethics, data protection. The stage that turns a practice into a business. | Recorded module + business plan | Business plan |
| 05 | IntegrationA live client mission, from diagnosis to intervention to measured outcome, defended before the committee. | Capstone defence (live clinic 6) | Capstone defence |
Nine months, built around the fact that senior practitioners cannot disappear from their work for a year. The recorded block carries the content; the live calendar carries the judgement, and the credits.
Video, course notes and quizzes for every module. Self-paced, revisitable for the life of your access. Recorded material carries no credits — it is the theory you arrive with, not the practice you are assessed on.
Three-hour sessions in the first six months, in a cohort of practitioners. Case work, live supervision, and the arguments that only happen when twelve experienced people disagree.
Working sessions on your own client mission, with the cohort and a faculty lead. The sixth clinic is the capstone defence before the committee.
Progress monitoring and direct assistance on your mission. Your supervisor sees the work, not just the outcome.
A typical fortnight: one live session, two to three hours of recorded content, and one piece of work on your own mission. Clinic weeks replace the session rather than adding to it.
If you complete the recorded block and stop there, you receive an Attestation de suivi — proof of study, no credits, no credential. It exists so that stopping is a decision, not a loss.
Nothing is awarded for attendance and nothing is awarded for quizzes. Each stage produces assessed work, and the credential is awarded after the capstone defence.
A reflective portfolio showing how you applied the foundational material to your own practice — not a summary of the content.
Strategy, operations and project delivery, examined in writing. This is the stage where breadth is tested rather than depth.
One assessed piece of work in consulting, one in coaching, one in learning. Each is marked against a rubric and each must pass independently.
Your practice as a business: positioning, target clients, fee model, pipeline and risk. Assessed on viability, not on ambition.
A live client mission — diagnosis, intervention, measured outcome — defended before a committee that includes practitioners external to the cohort.
The committee includes at least one member external to MedSirat and to the cohort. Assessors do not assess candidates they supervised.
Pass: MedSirat Global Master Practitioner, 18 credits, a verifiable register entry and the right to the MGMP post-nominal. Fail: one resubmission of the failed component within six months, then a repeat defence.
Credits are the currency of the whole Academy, and this pathway is where they matter most — because eighteen credits is more than most candidates can assemble in a single uninterrupted run.
One credit equals five live facilitated hours, which is one training day. Recorded modules and quizzes earn none. This pathway therefore holds eighteen credits because it holds eighteen live days.
Credits earned in any Academy programme count here, and credits earned here count towards any other credential. They remain valid for three years from the date earned.
A candidate holding eight credits in the relevant domains may enter at Stage 3 rather than Stage 1, with the capstone still required. This is how experienced practitioners shorten the pathway without skipping the assessment.
Credits never substitute for the capstone, for a practicum, or for the business plan. They shorten the route to the assessment; they do not replace it.
Cohorts are deliberately small, because the clinics are working sessions on real client missions and there is no room for spectators.
A short form plus your CV: your practice, your clients, the domain you are strongest in and the one you avoid.
A 30-minute call with the programme lead. We test fit in both directions — including whether you have live client work to bring, because the capstone requires it.
Offer, payment or instalment plan, and access to the recorded block immediately. Live sessions begin with the cohort.
Every stage is led by someone who currently consults, coaches or builds capability for a living. The clinics are supervised by faculty who will challenge your mission on the evidence, not on the theory.
One lead per practice domain, each with an active practice and a client roster. They teach the domain they are paid for, which is why the material is current.
One-to-one supervision is delivered by senior practitioners assigned for the duration of the pathway, not rotated between sessions.
The capstone committee includes at least one assessor from outside MedSirat and outside the cohort. It is the reason the credential is defensible.
Named faculty and biographies to be confirmed before publication.
No. It is one credential that certifies three practices together. The difference matters commercially: three certificates say you can do three separate things; MGMP says you can hold one engagement that requires all three, which is the engagement clients actually commission.
Yes — that is the design. Twelve live sessions over six months, one every two weeks, plus six clinics. The recorded block is self-paced and can be worked ahead. Candidates typically commit six to eight hours a week.
Sessions are recorded and materials are available. Two absences across the pathway are tolerated; a clinic absence must be made up, because the clinics are where your mission is examined.
The nine-day pathway certifies a single practice at depth. This one certifies three practices and the ability to combine them, over nine months and eighteen live days. It sits above the nine-day pathway on the credit ladder, and it is the only route to a master's-level post-nominal in the Academy.
It is a professional credential awarded by MedSirat Academy, verifiable in the register. It is not a state-recognised diploma or a university degree, and we do not present it as one. What travels is the portfolio and the capstone mission.
Yes. In-company cohorts of eight or more run on your own missions and case material, with the same assessment standard. The clinics become a working session on your portfolio.
Tell us which domain you are strongest in and which one you avoid. That second answer is what the conversation is for.
